Jag tycker de vandrande handelsmännen som finns avbildade på hemsidan (under Yasais dräkt) har snygga skor/strumplösningar. Är det någon som vet mer om vad de har på sig ovanför/inuti sina Waraji? Är det höga Tabi som går ända upp till strax under knäna eller har de kombinerat låga Tabi med virade lindor runt sina smalben? Jag tycker det mer ser ut som det förstnämda men hittar bara information om moderna Tabi och Jikatabi när jag letar på Internet. (och även de moderna är inte så höga t.ex. Vi har sett dem och funderat en del på vad det kan vara. Troligen är det långa tabi, ser helt klart ut som det. En beskrivning på hur dessa görs kommer när sömnadsbeskrivningen för tabi blir klar, jag har just börjat med den. Osäker på hur "historiskt korrekt" det är med häktor, och vi vill egentligen så långt det går undvika föremål i metall för yasai, men de kommer att godkännas på lajvet (så länge de ser vettiga ut, inte i neonröd plast).
Vi kommer ange ett alternativ till långa tabi, och den är helt enkelt lindor i ett brett stycke som snörs eller häktas runt smalbenen. Vi vill undvika smala benlindor, vilka drar tankarna åt vikingar. Stycket tas enkelt ut genom att lägga ett stycke tyg runt smalbenen, nåla fast det på baksidan så det sitter tight, rita linje, och klipp ut med lite sömsmån. Skall försöka få in en instruktion om detta i sömnadsinstruktionen för hakama (vilken f övr är klar, men är ute för översyn hos några sömnadsintresserade deltagare så de kan syna den noga).
